sorry but would never ever leave a pit with my kids, ever. I have seen first hand how they can just go off. as this family did,.

No breed just goes off. Individual dogs go off not a entire breed. I trust no dog around kids until proven otherwise. That includes so called good breeds. Labs,pointers, and the like. I've personally been menaced by multiple pits, do I blame the breed, no cause I know better. Its not an entire breed. That's such broad generalization based on a small amount of bad ones.

I disagree, just like fish breeds are meaner or more psychotic than others, same can be said for dog breads. I would not leave my family in care of a Jag or Dovii bread either.

By that logic you must not like most mastiff breeds, Doberman, majority of shepherding breeds, and a whole host of terrier breeds. Which is more dangerous a pit or a Caucasian ovtcharka? Pits where bred to kill small things and fight dogs not maul people. Historically you have more to fear from mastiff breeds than any pit. To demonize one breed is just foolish. There seems to be of misinformation about breed history going on. Any breed can be bred for aggression

Sad for the kid. Owners fault the poor dog is chained and neglected and mistreated. I work with over a dozen pits at my daycare job and they are the best pittys any human can have. I say take the dog away and try to salvage what's left of the good in him. Try to train him. Ppl think it cannot be done but there's a big chance it CAN.

I would fed that dog some lead and I don't give a feces if he is trainable, he did put a 4 years old boy in ER and required multiple surgeries. He also killed a puppy for sakes. People like you are the reason why the common senses are no longer common and let vicious dogs get off easily.

And we agree to disagree, I love pits. If I distrust one it's because what individual dog has shown me not because of what some completely unrelated individual did across the country. I will not listen to information when I've worked with breed for years and know what I've experienced

I love German short hairs as well and dachshunds. Not to fond of labs or most retrievers in general except for flat coated
