NEW PLECO NEED POSITIVE ID

It's interesting that your asking for an id but keep saying you doubt it when two ppl told you it's a 160 or 160 hybrid. What do you want it to be?

The dots, the fins the color all suggests 160/96. L24 tends to be more in the olive color side with longer fins and not much in terms of dots at this size.

Once. Tell us what you want it to be and see if ppl agree or disagree.

THANKS. After hours and hours of pleco pictures LOL, I pretty sure thats what he is. He is also getting his color back red dorsal and tail. And hes already eating like a pig.

If it took you hours and hours to compare "your flame cactus " to others on the web, L24 is easy to compare, mostly it not a L24. Spots and body color doesn't not match so far, how about some clear shots of the pleco?

Well you are wrong i have owned L160 and there was L 160 a couple tanks over from this guy for $50 more its not L160. Second i dont want it to be anything because what ever it is i like it and didnt pay a arm and a leg for it.

These are all L24 and this is exactly what he looks like. In the first videos he was stressed from over a hour drive just released into a new tank and was very faded. The tank has black sand and backround with no light so it was hard to get good video. Had to film from a angle so the light on my phone wouldnt reflect so it gave him a wierd shape. I didnt say he could not be hybrid because im no expert but i doubt it because he looks like the countless L24 juvies i looked at for hours and hours.

Pseudacanthicus L024 have silver coloured eyes; your fish looks similar to this - Pseudacanthicus sp.1.

That could be it matt. He looks just like a l24 but hes eyes are black thats what was throwing me off from the jump. Id says very simular to l24 also to bad there is not alot of info on them. I like him cant wait to see what he grows up to be.

looks like a l160 for sure. second guess would be l96
