Any Tandanus catfish owners here?

42 Channelcat? Didnt know they got that big :)
Good luck with the snorkeling.

they have the potential to get to 48" but it would take many years, the 42"r I saw was probably fairly old. Here is the picture: Phone pictures 1 008.JPG
The pic might make it look a bit small but that platform was at least 15-20 feet wide so put the fish in comparison.

Nice. Do you have a thread with your underwater photos? It appears quite worth it.

OP: The Cat-eLog page on PCF lists 9 keepers of T. tandanus http://www.planetcatfish.com/common/species.php?species_id=325

None of the names I recognize as regulars but I am not all knowing.

Go to this forum on PCF and type in "tandanus". Nice pics there.

Not yet, I think I'll make one tonight though, I made one on NANFA and it did pretty well so I'll work on one now and post a link once I made it.

Hi, I have a juvie (4-5in) tandanus tandanus catfish in a 2ft 20g grow out tank. I am in the process of getting materials together to make him a 4x2x2ft (over 100g) tank for him. In the meantime he will probably outgrow the 2footer, so ill put him in a medium sized pond 'till I finish the tank. Anyone here ever owned one? they are great fish Ive had mine about 2 weeks hes already grown nearly an inch or more and is feeding out of the palm of my hand. He's an awesome little guy. cheers

Ive had eel tail cats in the past. Havent had one in a while but still one of my favorite cats. Im actually working on something now to start getting more aussy and asian fish because this is were most of my favorite fish come from.
