peacock bass and datnoid grow out thread

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
does it look better like that

It does but also you are using the full potential of the tank. Like my 240 I never used to fill it up all the way. Until my friend came over(who got me into fish keeping) told me why I don't fill the tank up. So I started doing that and using the full amount of the tank. Not to the very top but like 1-2" from the top maybe less.

thanks to your idea now my tank looks much better and also there is more space for my fish so they seem happy as well. also do you think a blackbackground is better than just keeping the tank transperant

Black background will make the colors on a fish pop more. My 100 gallon has a black ground and I have a 7-8" jaguar male and female. The colors on both pop more than a clear. I do that than have a clear background.

Glad to hear you filled it up.

for the tank of ur size, i think its enough for all these fishes already, blackbackground for me is just for helping to fish not getting stress out and of course their color definitely pop out too, haha

Why don't you fill up your tank completely? Nice fish btw!

The bichir needs the room to breach comfortably if anything, any of my tanks with bichir the water level is always 3 inch or so low

I'd go with mono also. Another in the price range would be Orino but it doesn't have any O characteristics

the peacock bass and arowana will be moved to a pond when bigger also what do you suggest about putting live plants in my tank instead of fake plants the reason i dont put live plants is because they die after 2 weeks any ideas but i have to admit it they look real nice
