How old is she? You said she is a solid three inches max and thats kinda small for solid reliable breeding if she is real young and had growth pushed through good care in a low fish load tank. A small three inch female at 12 months of age has a better chance of laying viable eggs then a three inch female that is 5-6 months old.
 
oh she's only 3". ? sheesh. Just wait. Sounds like She's about to lay
