Sellers remorse :(

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My IDS are great and loving the big tank. The 6' length was definitely a must for them. Plenty of room to turn around and about 5x their length. I know this is still a grow out for them and realistically the indoor pond is my next investment for them. Best part is they have not had a freak out since being in the new tank. I also bought a Python system for wc and that has helped immensely! Pouring buckets in would work them up so much!

I think you should consider a datnoid! lol They're great oddball fish!

How about some kind of spiny eel?

These will both get to be pretty large. Maybe another excuse to upgrade to the next size? :headbang2

Last month I was able to find and buy a 150 gallon tank and stand on Craigslist for $400. To home my 2 LG ID Sharks in. Of course my husband wasn't happy with me spending that much but agreed non the less as long as I sold my 55 gallon to lessen the financial burden and I agreed. I put it on Craigslist for $200 and said I'll see what happens. Happy to me, I didn't receive any offers and I started to imagine all these great fish everyone keeps posting pics of on this forum! I had no idea such amazing fish existed! My husband unhappy, made me lower the price down to $150 and well today someone took me up and bought the tank :( I'm so sad now. I should have kept it although I really have no place to set up another tank. Now to convince my husband that I NEED to build the indoor pond in the basement for the IDs so I can use the 150 for all these cool fish I now want! I'm sure my husband would love to thank you all so much for showing me this new lifestyle I love so much!
My current new fascinations are the black ghost knifefish or the elephantnose fish! Not sure which one I love more since they can't live in the same tank so if I would have kept my old tank I would have had room for all of them.
I seem to like the oddball fish, feel free to share your pics with me or leave your species name so I can look them up! I seriously didn't know more fish could be kept then what Petco/Petsmart had...lol
Thanks-Amber

time to call a realtor for a new house :headbang2

Amber you are a dream women for most haha.

Haha thanks but my husband thinks this is gonna turn into a nightmare. He's so concerned with the liability of a tank/pond breaking in the house! If it was up to me I'd turn my whole basement into a tropical escape! Plants, pond and the whole nine yards...lol.
Women can love monster fish too :D

Amen to that! I'm a woman, too! My tank is bigger than my husband's! ;)

Haha I love the enthusiasm of a newly addicted fish keeper. Keep browsing this site and you will never have enough/big enough tanks.
