Well long story short, I'm selling my Cryptoheros cutteri pair and I'm looking for some or multiple breeding pair(s) of fish to take there place. If you want the whole backstory then read the first post on this thread: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?578792-Cichlids-to-breed-in-a-75

The fish(es) would have to conspecify somewhat peacefully with the 6 giant danios, striped raphael catfish, and gibbiceps pleco in my 75 gallon tank (48" x 18" x 20") and not get overly aggressive when breeding. I was considering other cichlids as my number one choice but I'm open to anything as long as like I said they aren't terrors when breeding. I'll have either a 10 or a 15 gallon tank to put the fry in. If possible I'd like to do a "breeding-community". What I mean by that is maybe a breeding group of gambusia here, maybe a breeding group of Corys there. Just fish that like I've already said 10 times can coexist with other possibly breeding as well fish. I'm open to any and ALL suggestions!

Heres the specs on the tank-
temperature: 75-76 F
pH: 7.6
substrate: loose gravel
decor: 2 plastic plants, a large piece of driftwood, a bridge decoration, a flowerpot, and three slab rocks (1 big and 2 small)
filtration: fluval 406
aeration: whisper 60

thanks for the help guys!

You said you were open to anything, so, how about swordtails?

They're peaceful, good breeders, and, imo, cooler than mollies or platys.

I like the idea! Maybe I'll do 3 of them but then I'm also looking for another group or two of fish to breed as well.

Is there any cichlids I could breed that would get along with a breeding trio of swordtails and maybe one or two other breeding groups if fish in the same tank.

Angelfish, rams,dwarf cichlids.

Awesome! Now I have to decide which ones :). Well I'm pretty sure rams and apistos like low pH so they're probably out of the question. Maybe an angelfish pair then.

So, so far for stock I have planned:

6 giant danios
1 striped raphael catfish
1 gibbiceps pleco (growout, currently 4")
3 breeding trio of some sort of livebearer (either platies, swordtails, guppies, or gambusia)
2 breeding pair of angelfish
And finally one last pair, trio, or group of breeding fish so feel free to suggest the last group to me.

What I'm thinking for the last group is maybe a breeding group of 6 Corydoras but I also don't want to overstock. If I didn't do guppies for the first group of livebearers I could do them as a second group in place of the Corys. This is also just being planned though, nothing is for sure yet.

I wouldn't do two breeding pairs just one,let them have the full reign to show off. Also a adult angelfish can and will eat guppies and possibly will eat the fry of anything else they can catch

Oh sorry I really made that sound wrong. What I meant was a total of 2 angels so just 1 breeding pair in reality, same with the other fish I wasn't trying to show how many breeding groups, just how many would be in each group.
