Hahaha I get a free meal every shift! Instead of eating I took a filet home

People have a bad habit of making false assumptions on this forum

What about going outside and digging for some earthworms from a safe source?

I don't feed my fish if I will be gone for 2 weeks! Don't worry about it. Fasting won't hurt them a bit. Just don't feed them until you can get the food you want to feed them.

I would just skip feeding. Ive had bad expierence with other ppl feeding. They typically over feed nd the feed end up with bad water quality for the remainder of the time.

Wen u get bak to feeding , feed a small about as the fish can get sick if it down a lot of food at once

Best way to have others feed my fish is to portion the food out into individual bags for each day. My worst concern is showing who ever is feeding how to turn my filters off when they feed and make sure they go back on

Only reason I didn't do this is I'm too sketchy about the worms being contaminated by pesticide

That's a great idea! Will do that in the future, I did tell her to drop X amount of pellets in as I usually count it out. I know fish can go for a while without food but my main worry was my 8-9 inch red wolf getting too hungry and killing something as it has done in the past... I was gone for a weekend and didn't have anyone feed my fish, came home and all that was left of my heckellis were their heads

To have someone else feed my fish I portion out the daily amount and put it in those daily/weekly pill containers that you can buy for cheap from a drug store. It helps also because you can do different things each day for a variety and they stay on track without forgetting or feeling overwhelmed.
