No way! That's just straight overkill. A 10g would be fine for a pair!

My LFS said you are right. I could keep them for life in a 10g with a sponge filter and that I can even harvest them for caviar. I can't believe I didn't think of this before. I just need to move my full grown arapaima into its permanent 20g pond.
