My new and first flowerhorn

Just got a female Thai silk fh for him. Sadly they had to be separated. So I left her in his tank and put him in another tank. How long should I leave him in that other tank? She's in the main tank right now which is a 55 he's in a 40 for the moment

You might make a divider in the 40 gallon and put him on one side and him on the other so the can get use to eachother for a while but once their paired those other fish in the main tank are done for

Yeah no big deal sorry I meant to say her on the other side looks like your gonna have a fertile male to I see his eyes are turning red those thia silks arent hard to come by but arent available all the time goodluck on pairing them up

Thanks. I have no idea why he was like that with her because a few month or two ago I put a smaller festae in with him and they were best of friends after a week. Ahhhhhh. Lol my plan is to leave her get settled in for a week or two then put him back in with her and see how that works out or I may leave them separated for a lil longer cus she looks in a lil tough shape.
