We think it might be:
1. My bifas
2. The heavy canopy
3. The 4.0 earthquake we had on Valentine's day.
4. Defects in the glass.
I really don't think it was the fish. I inspected the glass after the earthquake and didn't see any flaws or cracks. The weight of the homemade canopy may have eventually created the crack in a defective part of the glass. There are too many variables to know. I think there was something wrong with the glass itself. Either way I am going a different direction with the canopy. I'm not going to use it anymore and plan to get decent slim LED lighting. I already use glass tops so that will be easy.

Thanks. I'm glad to have only good news to report at this moment. Each day is a battle though. I'm living day by day at this point until we get the new 90g set up. Then I can relax a bit more.
Only issue is my male convict is struggling with equilibrium issues at the moment in my growout tank. No expecting him to survive. Strange bc there are no issues visually and all of their young are going nice and strong.

Jusy finished up at my lfs. The new temporary 90g is en route to our house. I will be playing with the water and fish all the rest of the day until they are moved into the temp tank. Hoping this doesn't take as long as I think it will.
