Oh yeah endlis can be like that lol both of mine are teeny tiny under 3 inch. My buddys endli ate a 3 inch threadfin arcara when it was 5 inch, thing looked like it was going to burst! I keep mainly the smaller upper jaws for now. Can these be acclimated to salt or brackish? These guys + a green wolf fish (the dottyback) would be a neat combo of eel like fish

Why wouldn't you just buy a G. tile if you want it in brackish or any of the other true sw morays if you want it in salt? There definitely are much cooler looking morays out there

I like these though, the darker more FW looking pattern in particular. I'm not one for the crazy bright morays, only ones I'd ever want to own would be the various types of dragons which are out of my price range haha. God deciding what to do with my 70 once my grow outs are in a bigger tank is hard haha

Here's a little update..... Wes I can't even begin to tell you how much I'm enjoying these lil buggers......

They got bumped up to a 125 after I tried adding 3 more eels to the little tank and the original 3 seemed pretty upset about it, not to mention the VATF didn't seem real happy either. So I added the 2 remaining TATF and a couple big silver dollars in an attempt to keep the peace amongst the Tigers. So far it seems to be working OK. All the eels get along fine after the upgrade/rearrange.

These eels seem to be more active then typical Morays. I could watch these guys tear around all day. Will get a feeding vid once they settle in, don't seem real hungry just yet.

DB they look great. Are you adding any additives to the water with them? I just lost my group after 2 years of doing great.

WHAT!?!? What happened, or what do you suspect happened???? Very sad to hear this man.....

I don't add anything to the water, BUT PH out of the tap here is like 8.4-8.6

Thank you. I am not exactly sure. Out of the group of four there was one that was always a poor doer and I lost him maybe four months ago. I would be mycobacterium for this one. Then a couple of months ago I came home and found my biggest one dead. He was in great shape otherwise. The day before the weather got randomly really warm and when this happens my apartment gets really hot, so maybe heat stress. I wasn't able to come home that night due to work. Then the other two died just the other day. Both about 16 inches or so and in great body condition. All of them once dead/dying produce a ridiculous amount of thick slime. The tank is in good shape. I have a marble lancer cat and two small L14s and one small L114 with them so I wonder if they where harassing. No evidence of injury though and I never saw anything.
Once I do the moves, I will try them again in a species only tank. For the next year I am going to watch yours closely though and see what I should change

DB- they looking great man! At this point, I think mine is my favorie fish. I tell people he has ADHD because he is always swimming the tank.

Charney- sorry to hear. The thick yellow/white slime is very interesting isint it.
