I'd put some salt in there. Tell us if it's there in a couple days
 
You dont have to trust it. It's longtime aquaria practice to treat injuries, etc with aquarium salt. Just make sure you dont have any scaleless fish in there when you treat it.
 
make sure it's aquarium salt and not the salt you use on food. I would use half the recommended dosing.
 
If you go to a pool supply store you can buy pool filter sand for $10 for 50lbs. That's more than enough for a 55 gal.

Just make sure to rinse it and not buy the zeolite sand.

In the meantime in would get rid of the gravel.

Well I just got paid as soon as I get off work I'm goin to by sand the rocks r gone as soon as I get home
