why aquarium salt?? seems like it swallowed gravel..... aquarium salt won't do anything for it. on the other hand, epsom salt is used as a natural laxative and might be of help. dont' potentially stress your bichir by adding aquarium salt.....not necessary.
 
So how much Epson salt should I use ?

Here is a detailed thread on epsom salts. In your case, you are just using it as a mild laxative so 1 tablespoon for every 5 to 10 gallons should do it. Since your lap is eating you can inject solution to the worms or soak in water. The thread goes into detail.

To be honest with you, depending on the size of the gravel/substrate, it might just pass without the help of anything. If peace of mind is what you need, add the epson salt (dissolve it first) and let nature take its course.
