Anybody into weight lifting/body building?

You'd be surprised how much muscle push ups and pull ups can add on for you. My freshman year in high school I played football, like every freshman in high school. My school was brand new and we didn't even have a gym so all we did was push ups and pull ups and just during summer camp, I went from 115-150lbs. Granted, that was also my first time ever really working out and I was still growing.

Yeah it seems to be working pretty well. I have been on and off doing it for the past 8 months but for the last month I've been really committed as I have new motivation.

I didn't see this one coming. Most of my gym buddies are into cars not fish, happy to see I not the only one. I treat the gym like high school pe. 1 hour every weekday, and I need to be sweating at the 10min mark or I do jumping jacks till I sweat. It's been 12 years now on this routine. Asides from fishkeeping it's my only other passion. Can't learn enough, which keeps me interested. Anyone use body space on bodybuilders.com?
Great resources there.

I love lifting weights. I've been at it for a year and have gone from 125-136. I'm only 17 so I'm not sure how much of that was muscle or height but I'm starting to thicken up. Before I started lifting I was extremely skinny and I have pectus excavatum which just made me look worse. Unfortunately I'm getting surgery on June 20th so I'm probably going to lose the majority of the muscle I've put on in the past year.

Any POG members on here??

The back gains. Over the course of a year I've found that the best exercise for building the lats are weighted pull ups as opposed to rows which I wasted a lot of time doing. I still do rows but I used to have my back routine like 80 % rows and now I have it 50/50 and I'm already noticing a difference. I've been in the gym for about 14 months but I slowed down for about 4 of those while I had soccer practice everyday after school.

Overhand or underhand? I'm trying to build lats, started doing underhand along with overhand (which I've been doing already).

I've been really getting into this recently and its been a huge stress reliever and a benefit in my life. Any MFKers into this too?
I do 12 OZ reps . should see my tummy muscle. other than that no, water aerobics twice a week, I am an old guy.

Overhand and wide grip if you want to build up those lats. If you wanna really hit them hard, superset wide grip pull ups, or lat pull downs, with straight arm lat pull downs. Hits the lats SUPER hard!

Thanks! I've been trying to find lat pull ups for a while to do, couldn't find anything.

I've met Vince and Chris when they came to LA, they're big don't get me wrong but they're not the tallest people.
