So I didvided my tank so that my jack D could stop picking on my Oscars and I woke up this am to find my jack D dead. He somehow jumped out of the tank over nite :-( I am now needing to find a school or a single fish to add. But first do I have room for an addition in my 125 gallon with two Oscars?

Some would say no,some would say yes. I say you could add some silver dollars or maybe convicts, rainbow cichlids, firemouths, acara. Just nothing to aggressive or large growing

I would suggest that 2 O's in a 125 is a full tank. I have a pair that spent about 8 months in a 125. As they approached the foot long mark the tank was looking a bit tight for them. Not inadequate, just a bit tight. Moved them to a 180, they are much more comfy in there. Concur on the plec, they are a huge strain on the bio load of any tank, make more mess than they ever clean. Reduce light to the tank to keep algae in check, or just scrape it off.

I personally like bala sharks with oscars. The balas will clean up all the food mess the oscar makes and they're nice fish. Might be a little tight with two but perfect with one.

a smaller growing pleco would be fine, around 8 inch max size... they do a great job of eating algae and cleaning the river rocks in my 300... i would think about redline torpedo barbs as a nice schooling fish, max out around 6 inch and are beautiful...
