I bet that's the one Im remembering I had. It looked real, maybe the scale was off a little bit. Didn't have the range I hoped for though :(
 
when i was kid we had these little water pistols, came in red and green, you spent more time filling them than squirting them and after an hour or so the pumps petered out, water balloons where always the better option.

Yeah the water pressure sucked, but it did have actual gun sound and clips for more water.
