now I know my eyes have gone downhill a bit as I've gotten older, but it looks like the largest pellets are the medium ones...
now maybe I could get behind that the marine ones could be using a different scale, although I would have figured the large marine would be larger than the freshwater, but the large cichlid is smaller than the medium cichlid and the same size as the large marine.

all I know is I wont be buying the super cichlid pellets anymore (the one to the far right) I can't get anything to eat them. Maybe they are spoiled by the NLS but they have had other brands before. That size thing is a bit weird I noticed the same thing in the store when i was trying to make the next move up.

I picked up some omega one sinking pellets and they have about a 30% sinking rate as well. Won't ever buy omega again. I will stick to NLS.

I use pretty much the same pellets and was thinking they really did not seem right. The Super Color Sinking are 3.5mm and the Garlic Marine are 5mm according to the website. The 5mm look exactly the same as the 3.5mm and the 4mm Floating Cichlid look way bigger.

I kave been using Omega one for years and have noticed that Omega's floating pellets are always much larger than their sinking pellets.

I suppose the floating pellets are larger because they incorporate air into it to get it to float

If the size is mentioned as 4mm then it should be 4mm air or no air.

My post wasn't about regarding the size discrepancy, just why the floating pellets may be larger

I put the appropriate sizes of the pellets below the original posters pics to show that the sizes are way off, got the sizes from their website.

I'm guessing that Omega 1 categorize their pellets in terms of actual solid volume and not by actually spatial volume
