My Betta edithae are doing a bit of pre-spawning activity. The PVC influent line to their tank had been partially plugged for a few days with snails, when I cleared it and the flow increased, and after a large water change, this seemed to trigger the romance.
They have chosen the countercurrent zone of the tank, directly below the influent line to court.

they are awesome, nice shots like that show the detail fighter has if it were a 2ft fish it would be worth 1000's!

I keep a couple outdoors and a wild caught splendens inside....

Allways loved Beta's with the exception of these new man made tails, such as crowns, etc...
