Hazy acrylic tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have heard the original magic eraser works great and is fish safe. From what I have been told it can be used inside the tank with fish and will not harm them. It has to be the Original !

If its just haze, and you can't see any scratches, then the best thing I've found is a polish kit meant for automotive headlights. I use the kit that comes with a little buffer pad thing that goes in a drill. Really works!

The sucky part is it sounds like the INSIDE of your tank is hazy, and the buffing compounds are definitely not fish safe. So you'd have to drain the tank, spend a few hours buffing it, thoroughly clean it, and then refill it.

There is some buffing compound that is popular in the reef community called NOVUS. Supposedly their #2 compound is non-toxic and fish safe. I personally would drain the tank.

Do some googling and you'll find lots of info on the subject.

I am guessing its not the tank, some 8 hours later how does it look? pic?
