Why not letting them back? Perhaps other doctor may learn a thing or two about the disease/virus. It's better than just let them die off in some 3rd world country, and as a result, there's no cure for it. Imagine if everyone looks at the picture of J. Wade and the African tiger fish, and thinks, "OMG, that fish would wipe out my entire tank, and perhaps, ate my arm the next time I feed it." This hobby might end up with just fancy guppy and goldfish with that kind of thinking... There's pioneer, and there's whiner. Some born to lead, and some born to bee-otch!

And what happens if the virus spreads to others in America? Is it worth the risk? We will soon find out, the first patient has arrived in Atlanta. The ebola virus is now on American soil.

Yeah I heard they'll hold a press conference tomorrow so the patient can greet and meet, hug and kiss, taking picture and selfie with everybody, giving autograph and such... I booked a flight to Atlanta first thing this morning... Can't wait!

You guys do realize that the cdc already has labs all over the U.S. that already has some really really nasty stuff in them. The W.H.O. is the same on other continents. There are diseases on American soil just as bad if not worse already. Not to make anyone nervous but they screw up and release pathogens occasionally. Protocol is only as good as the human margin for error.

Hello; We need a catch phrase. We have "rust never sleeps" for the way automobiles eventually succumb to iron oxidation. Something like "a virus finds a way" but much more clever.

As stated the virus is here now. let us hope those in charge of it's containment are as skilled as they claim to be and not too overconfident. I seem to recall recentlythe CDC having an issue with how they handled anthrax.

here is a link http://www.newscientist.com/article...e-raises-worries-about-labgrown-superflu.html

While it is now likely this particular ebola virus is going to spread worldwide given time, that two virus loaded individuals are being brought onto the Americas seems a bit of an premature extra risk. There are numerious proceedures that have to go just right each and every time each and every second of each day with these infected individuals. With any mistake the virus can find a way out.

Am I too paranoid?

I live in Atlanta...They have the nastiest of the nasty pathogens in labs and have had them for decades in BSL-4 facilities all over the country. There are more Class IV pathogens that have had outbreaks closer to the U.S. that are greater threats than what's going with Ebola now. The media is just playing it up for ratings like they did in the early 90's when Ebola became known to the mainstream. The CDC is just taking the opportunity to study these cases since these are Americans heat are infected. It's what science is about, learn all you can when the opportunity presents itself. That's how progress is made.

too many people watching too many monster movies= this thread......I will go out on a very sturdy limb here and guess there isn't even one person on this thread even REMOTELY qualified to question CDC policy...but that won' stop em

As pointed out earlier...and yet the experts got themselves infected...
