What kind of kitty kat fish is this?

Somebody i know has had this fish for about a year now and wants to sell it to me. It measures about 8", n he wants $30. Prob is we dont know what it is...any ideas?

From my understanding Bimacalatus is very rare, and Siluridae is more common?
I think its a Siluridae.

AFAIK, bimaculatus is rarely if ever exported out of south India. But I am simply repeating after an Indian hobbyist ichthyologist Balaji (Shovelnose on PCF).
