so I just saw redemption for the first time last night.
the action was like Jackie chan meets tonay jaa meets wwe. that's what the fight scenes were like to. very technical and detail oriented choreograph like Jackie, devastating moves like tony with some table breaking choke slams. it was a fun movie to watch. I like the fact that they didn't hold back on the gore. a lot of the fighting, stabbings and shootings were very gnarly
as for the plot, it was very shallow, very straight forward. go infiltrate boss's building, fight their way to the top to capture the boss. I can see how some movies may not want to drag out a lot of dialogue and go straight for the action. it seems to be their main purpose which is fine. but for me personally I always want a plot build up and some back story as well as character build. when done right they don't have to spend much time doing it.
but all in all it was a fun movie packed with fight scenes and action. I'll most likely watch the sequel some time this coming week
