Yes and no. They seem to head towards the Tigers but one twitch and the Tigers are out of the way. The eels mouths are so small they have to fight down the floating Hikari sticks, doubt they could do much damage to the Tigers IF they did manage to get close enough.

The original 3 eels were with the 3 Vatf for several months in a 20 gallon.... lol. They couldn't really get close to the Tigers in there, in the 125 it seems it will be very tough for them to get close to the Tigers.
 
Just a question. I have an opportunity to buy a ~10" one of these (Aquascape). I will email Wes first to see if he can get anymore soon because I like to support him as a vendor. I want to put him in my 75 growout tank that has a 4" Kelberi peacock bass in it. Do you see that as being a problem? I want to grow out the bass into my show tank, so if it is a risk I will wait till it's bigger, but just thought I would ask your opinion. PH is 7.8 as well.
 
I wouldn't think it would be a problem, but I don't keep bass either..... I still have mine with 2 kinds of ATF and seems to work fine.

I do know these guys are small and don't seem to grow as quick as normal Morays.

Crazy good escape artists. I left the lid on my tank open 1" for one evening and 2 jumped ship, was able to save one of them, but lost the other.

Why pay more and deal with that headache? Get one from Wes. ;)
 
I emailed him for sure, I would love it if he got back to me saying he had or could get me one, but the last thread indicated he was sold out. Wes and Jeff Rapps are my first choice of vendors everytime, if i can get a fish from them i will, even if it costs a bit more. Hopefully I'll hear back soon, wes looked nicer also, too bad this eel bug didn't bite me when they were available :(

Patience.... They are worth the wait. I'm at a year or better and I still don't have as many as I'd like. They aren't real common so when they are available there's usually not enough to go around. What's that mean for "most" vendors? Gouge accordingly. Watch the prices go up and up. We are VERY lucky to have someone like Wes that treats us right when it comes to oddball fish, as he doesn't gouge like most vendors here do. We need to support him for that. :)

I wish I could ship, I'd just send you one as I'm sure I'll wind up getting a few more..... lol.
 
Lol no Lfs that will ship for you? I would certainly take that offer. I notice that you are very thoughtful to others on this forum with your fish collection from other threads as well, I'd like to compliment you for that. Few are like you that are willing to help someone out just for the sake of helping them out, but it seems like the love of fish is a good draw to do so as there are more on this community that are supportive rather than antagonistic (which is different from most forums and society in general at times). I agree 100% about your comments about wes, like I said if I can buy a fish from him that's where I will, I NEVER have to worry. If wes can't get me one, let me know if you can think of a way you'd be able to.

The decorations you have for these guys are prime, tons of holes for them to hide in, where did you find them? I am prepping my tank now so on the lookout for "holey" decorations like the oens you have instead of tossing PVC in there lol.

I've had those rocks for years..... lol. I made them for G. Tiles back when I kept them before I knew they eventually needed salt.

Found them in a field, cleaned them up and took an air hammer / chisel to them, most of the holes were already there, I just basically tried to connect them and split off chunks with no holes.

"texas holey rock" is much more readily available these days...... :(
