I assure u he will eat more if his head is cratered...offering multiple times a day will entice his appetite. U can only stuff them so full during any single sitting but doing that a few times a day is beneficial in ur situation to get his weight back up.

Feeding him multiple times that is in one full day not one sitting.

just keep working with him and testing ur water...good sign hes still eating something atleast. Medication is always my last resort especially with frail specimen, 9 times outta 10 its the water quality. If you just setup your drip system, hopefully you start to see an improved appetite soon enough.

If you just set up a drip are you sure it's getting the chlorine/chloramine out? Have you tested to be sure the filters are doing their job?

I've killed pups with drip filters that needed to be changed.

Is it alone? IF not it needs to be. The forehead dent isn't a good sign, means time is running out. The ray is seriously stressed. A dent is proof of this. I've watched them form and popped them back out, usually more stress related then internal parasites. I'd still treat with Prazi, but without addressing the stress factors it will be pointless.

I hope it does I don't want to do meds if not needed. Thanks

So you're using straight RO?

IF the dent appeared after you got it and it wasn't there when you got it then obviously there's a problem with it's current home/parameters.

Are you adding anything back to the RO? Straight RO isn't stable at all..... Very prone to PH crashes.

Was it kept in normal tap/well water before? IF trying to transition a ray already in poor health from tap to RO then that could be the problem right there.....

What kind of ray is it? Not all grow fast...... Guess I see it's a Marble now. That's actually pretty decent growth rate. I have several I've had for years that aren't a foot across.
