Thanks! I say 15-17 inches haven't really measured it. I'm going to get granite sand soon hoping the green come out more.

Its funny because im running bare bottom and they usually like laps and others they patterns wash out.

Very nice fish! I do agree that a darker substrate would make those patterns really pop. Dark red

Is it dark red that makes the colors stand out??? I thought it was a brighter red color .... And ya my lap .... I don't even wanna go there wit my lap when it comes to washed out/ coloring up

Brighter red will bring out the best, that said IMO bright red substrates look too unnatural. I think a great compromise is a black and red sand mix. Just my preference
