When I worked at a pet store as a summer job, a woman asked me to net 4 baby pacus for her 10 gallon -_-. I told her no as they grow up to 4 feet and she slapped me for saying lies about the fish.

WOW! I say you deserve a raise after that. That seemed harsh..if that was me, I might have had to dunk her head in a tank for a few seconds for payback

I guess in 1970, I was the stupidest person in the hobby. At the time you started in the hobby, chances are you were also.

Well this kinda made me chuckle.

My local Petsmart actually have really good fish people working there.

While browsing around the fish section an irate lady walked in with a bucket of fish. She just starts screaming as she claimed the fish she was solast week cleaned out her prized tetras and mollies. So peeped over to see what fish she had in the bucket.....Kenyis, Auratus, Bumble Bees and a few Demasoni's.

As as the manager came over, the Petsmart fish girl told her manager --- She repeatedly warned her those fish she bought will likely kill her Tetras and Mollies ---- I know the Petsmart Girl and believed her. The. The Petsmart continued by saying that the irate lady told her ---I know my fish.....I looked at the irate lady-----oh this was getting interesting.

Anyways the irate lady wanted to get reimbursed for the fish she lost, but was the manager said no. It really turned ugly after that.....before she stormed out the door without getting her money back for the fish she returned.

Petco and petsmart specifically hire people that don't know anything about the animals, and to a slightly lesser degree other stores as well. They just want drones that will do whatever they say. I had an in a few years ago at petco, I knew a regional manager but he said the fact that I have worked in pet shops before means petco wouldn't hire me.
