Cool project at work , this ones for pond lovers !

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry forgot to say no heaters needed , like rocky said as long as it doesn't freeze solid there fine , most people put a ball in the water to prevent solid freezing and it provides a feeding hole when removed

You mean just a regular round ball? Or is there a certain kind?

Either you put a regular ball in that you take out every morning that will make one hole, or you do what some koi keepers do - cover the whole pond with kids play balls (PE I think they are called)

I've seen plenty of people using I cheap plastic football , but some koi /pond shops sell purpose use ones , basically you just need to keep a hole from freezing over somewhere in the ice

I have that nexus 300 an ultima 10000, a skimmer filter and a savio waterfall filter.

I also breed tilapia for aquaponic systems that's this right here. I have quite the task every week, but I enjoy and love it. uploadfromtaptalk1412459170371.jpg

I must also add all labor was free lol just some BBQ and a few 24 packs for the crew. And thanks I'm a little over stocked to pro keepers standards, but I've kept my koi like this for 6 years now. Some are 13 + lol. Once again thanks

Little update on work progress this week.
Its been a nightmare this week pretty much rained everyday (good old Manchester weather :() but we've still managed to make progress uploadfromtaptalk1413114477775.jpguploadfromtaptalk1413114490115.jpguploadfromtaptalk1413114498758.jpguploadfromtaptalk1413114515168.jpguploadfromtaptalk1413114539126.jpg
Its not been easy we've painted everything that's sheltered from the rain and as you can see from the last PIC some makeshift tents have had to be put up to protect the fresh gloss work :banghead::(
