I hate to break it to you but purple waffle and aluminum plant are not true aquatics. They will grow with their roots in water but that's it.

If you have chain stores like Pet smart they have those package plants also grown emersed so they have to go through the transition but be careful some of those packaged plants are demanding and could be a waste of money if you don't meet their needs. (they don't tell you that on the packaging I think) Cryptocoryne balansae would be a good plant to put in the 90g being so deep it takes a while for it to establish itself but then takes off.

This was my best attempt in 90g tank without Co2. It had a HOB 110 and a sponge filter. Plant list was Anubias nana and narrow leaf java on some driftwood. Lighting was one of those Glo 2 bulb T5HO fixtures. Fish were black Angels and Congo Tetras. The big challenge was the nana this size because without Co2 growth is very slow so I'd move it from my high tech tank after it was big.
Just something else to consider.

Wow very nice I really like that, Looks like it gives the fish a lot of room to hide and play!!! What kind of plant is that floating on the top left side?
Thanks again for the help Jay...
