Juvenile Endlicheri questions

Is it normal for small endlicheri to have trouble swimming? They all appear to be very... awkward? When startled they are very fast and efficient swimmers, but one is quasi floating/ and two are struggling to move. As I said before, they dont seem to have any issues when startled. These still have their "axolotl" gills by the way. I have never had any this small!

I ordered from petsolutions 1 time never again both bichirs were jut like that (trouble swimming) both died within 24 hours never ordered there again

Eep. They seem to be doing better today. No trouble swimming. Everyone is very active and energetic. I put a small pinch of bloodworms and a few cichlid sinking pellets (buying massivore today) in last night before sleeping and they seem to have gobbled them up. I just added more bloodworms 15 minutes ago. Just like my senegalus, they seem to have issues locating the food. Im afraid of running into a nitrate issue if this pace continues. How often do I need to change the water in my 10g?

4 endlis in a 10 gal ... Personally I'd so at least 2 50% wc a week ... But that Just me I always had bad experiences with crappy water parameters with a 10 gal tank ... No clue why

Ill move them to a 20g at 4.5-5", i just want them to be able to locate their food easily. I put a bunch of java fern in the tank to eat nitrates, and will be spot vacuuming daily with a turkey baster (great technique our reef counterparts use-if you arent familiar).

I saw three of the four eating at their feeding earlier! I left the excess in the tank in hopes the other will find some.
