Mechs are all I use now. eBay is your best bet for prices. Just search "mechanical mod" and you'll see a bunch. ;-)

Yes those ego batteries don't last too long. Usually a couple months of heavy use then they start to deplete their Max charge.

Come to the dark side... mech mods I like best. Removable, batteries. Use tanks or dippers. You just need a battery charger, I like the luc 4. Nitecore are good too just slow.

my nephew is sending me one of his home made ones. he says him and his buddies are really into it. they are making their own liquids and sell them to local shops for like $1000 a gallon

he tells me I will love it and won't go back to whatever it is I'm using. so we'll see
 
Make sure you practice safe building and always, always, always use safe high drain 30a batteries! Especially if you are building < 1ohm.
