Thanks. Yea one day I may switch the sand out for some red garnet. I envy the pics of others with that sand and bichirs.

I feel u on the envy lol but I 80-90% tan color sand mixed with 10-20% black sand will do a pretty good job as well to there color ... Much more so than the white or pure black

Well I personally recommend just red and black lol but it is very hard to find red aqaurium sand the red I had I got rid of cause it wasn't for aqauriums it was to fine there were more on my driftwood and in my filter than the floor of the tank lol I can't find red at all not petsmart petco or any of the local fish stores.. not even on eBay ... But if he can manage to find red aqaurium sand then yes add red to that lol
