As the title says will they work out together? The cats are all 5" and under the bichir is about 3-4" and skinny. My girlfriends brother doesn't really take care of him, the only food that tank gets is flake food and I feel bad for it.

I think they would be fine for a while, be the channel cat will outgrow the bichir, and that's where I perceive some potential issues arising.

sun cats or channel? sun cats, bulls eye, eclipse all the same cat and dif than a channel. if a sun cat should not be a problem, they can be aggressive but for the most part they pretty mellow, keep in mind they scaleless fish so treatments like salt and some others will kill them.

I have a Sun Cat, about 7" they can top out at 12" and BKG, about 6" in same tank and no issues, sun did flip on the Gibby pleco, about 14" last Sunday for I know not why, neither can really hurt each other and all back to normal sense.

That was my initial thought.

i am not sure where channel cat got in. OP states a sun cat, they are not the same thing far as i know. i have a sun cat.

Pops the channel is mentioned in the title.

ahh I see, was tying it to the *****er err bichir. in that case i agree I would look to removing the channel. whither a dif tank or re-homing. sun cats should be fine.

Sorry for the confusion. I have 2 suns one is about 4" and the other is 3". My channel cat is about 4" also. I'm picking up two 75g this weekend for them to grow some more (not permanent) but better than the 20L they're in now. So I may put the channel in his own 75g the the bichir and Suns in the other 75g. Off topic but I really like the look of vulture cats, how will one do with the channel?
