I wasn't too shocked or impressed with the Terminus neck slicing thing mainly because most likely the bat to the back already killed them. If they would have gone straight up and slice their necks maybe.

Sophia had the shock valve because everyone was expecting her to be found. Maybe if a main character had their neck slice then yea maybe.

Yes the neck slicing wins the gruesome award

Penny (either reveal or her death)
Sophia found in barn
Shane death scene
Herschel beheading/governor losing with a tank
Terminus neck slice scene
Church slaughter
Lizzie/michah deaths
Carl kills his mom

What else or what should be eliminated? Is there anything involving lori or andrea?

For me, the best surprise was Sophia in the barn. I think they should start killing off more of the main characters to keep the show fresh. They've killed side characters like Bob, but they need to kill more of the important ones to keep people guessing about who's going to be next. I'd start with killing the real annoying characters first, like Mullet Scientist guy, then people from early seasons like Carol and Tyrese. I hope they keep the hot Latina girl on the show though, I like her shorts.

I don't care if sumo claims he knew Sophia was dead. The fact they spent AN entire season looking for her just to be dead was shocking. Then they acted it out brilliantly. Cutting some randoms throats on episode one with no build up was lame. Kill Bob or glen there and the scene becomes epic

Oh and also the heads in the Governor's fish tank. I thought that was kinda cool.

I liked the Governor storyline but they kept it going too long and should've ended it at the Season 3 finale. Just dragged on too long.

A good team? A GOOD TEAM? She was an incessant cry baby who was like dying of pneumonia or something for how long and was total baggage. Then AND THEN she bails on michone, tries to take the Gov'na to poundtown and leaves the black ninja high and dry.

Gotta say im glad she's gone. And her dumb sister from season 1.

the fact they spent a whole season on looking for Sophia is the reason I believed she was dead. but it was just my guess at the time that happened to be correct. how can a little girl that early on in the apocalypse survive in the woods all that time? I figured she'd be dead.

so when she came out the barn of course there is a shock factor, but it was not that big to me. that scene never lingered in my memory that it was a shocking and well acted scene. it was good, but not to me what it was to you guys or how you all are describing it. that's all i'm saying

the execution throat slits didn't need any building up. it was the season premiere. we know the group was captured, we know the termites are cannibals. we know they are slaughtering humans like cattle. what more build up do you need

the set up, the delivery, the tention. whack! slit. bleed out

man, the shock factor was off the chart with that scene. yall is crazy for not seeing all that
