eddie 101 right there

when debating with someone you must:

state your stance
give reason backing that stance
listen to opposing stance
disagree
listen to only portions of opposing stance's reasoning
continue arguing stance regardless of points that have already been addressed

Thought you were done? I stop reading when people miss entire points and make me waste time reading a tangent that is irrelevant because had they got your point they wouldn't be going on that tangent. That's exactly what you did with the butchering thing. You continue to pretend you're superior by implying you knew they were butchering people and listing your irrelevant reasons of how you knew. All while pretending that because it didn't happen the exact same way in the book, it's a brand new idea and therefor, shocking.

You're missing the point that i DIDNT expect any of this at all and had no idea about cannibals (in any form) until Internet rumours 2-3 episodes from the end of last season and still upon seeing it...experienced no shock. Telling me how obvious it was only proves my point that it's rather not all that shocking, even if I personally didn't see butchering coming...I walked away from it being just another near scene.

I can accept that you guessed Sophia was dead and weren't at all moved by the scene, time for you to do the same. Let's end this crap for real. Last words are yours

lol, I didn't say I was done. just said our discussion was getting tired

we're both guilty of going off tangents.

and I heard you loud and clear. you didn't see it coming.

you're also taking my words and twisting it. I only said the most shocking scene to me, was the opening scene of this season premiere. the throats being slit, that's it, just that one scene. that was my original argument. I did not call the whole cannibal thing shocking nor the fact that people were being taken or collected or being butchered

I don't pretend to be superior to anyone. don't know where that is coming from. even though I am. I didn't try to make it look like I am in this discussion.

lol

Maggie's behavior with Beth explained...sort of. Note: this is from behind the scenes

“It's definitely something that will be explored. Maggie is aware that her sister is out there. Because of the nature of this world, she is probably a little bit more willing to admit that she is more than likely dead than Daryl is. That's Daryl's M.O. Daryl is somebody who wouldn't stop looking for Sophia. He is not somebody that is going to accept reality in the way some of these other characters will.

You can also complain that Maggie hasn't expressed too much loss over Hershel (Scott Wilson) just because we haven't spent a great many scenes talking about the loss of her father. There’s been so much other stuff going on that this character is dealing that there hasn't been an opening where she would sit down and say, 'Oh my gosh, she's still out there. What can we do?'

Daryl and Carol hadn't gone on a mission to find Beth until they saw that car. There are really no options here. If Maggie had somehow been with Daryl in that scene, she would have been racing after that car jut as intently as Daryl had. The story just hasn't shaken down that way. We will be dealing with it in upcoming episodes and you'll definitely see where Maggie stands on this. I do stand by the fact that the character's behavior is very much in line with the way we've established her.”

We need more Carl, less Carol! The storylines with Rick, Carl, Michonne, and Darryl are a lot more fun than the ones with the second tier characters like Carol, Tyrese, and Beth because almost everyone likes Darryl and Michonne better than Carol and Beth. Hopefully this hospital and Beth story wraps up quick so I can see more Michonne slicing up zombies. I loved that scene when she gets her samurai sword back.

it was different with Hershel because they saw him die. they know he's dead. she doesn't know that beth is dead.

but what really bothers the fans is that when they all split after the prison, they showed Maggie really worried about glenn and making real effort to find him. they did pretty much zero of Maggie worrying about beth.

you would think every time reunited with prison members after the gov battle that Maggie would ask about beth. that all could've been dealt with with just a few lines of dialogue
