Do it. My Armatus was a mean one but wouldn't mess with large peaceful cichlids they'd nip him he'd only attack gars silver dollars and tarpon. Pbass should be ok but u never know

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place...should I put him in a 30g bowfront and try and grow him out as fast as I can or take the chance of putting him in my other tank with my 8" armatus? What would you guys do?

How big is the cichla? Didn't tell us that part.

Yeah its a zully for sure. Mine looked just like this until 12". Its a lot of spangles but azuls will have that at a young to juvi size.
