Yup, they laid eggs, both are guarding them. A little interested in how this turns out.
 
I can see a little tiny bit of white inside the eggs on the top part only, No signs of anything else though. Both parents are still guarding, and the eggs still look good. I'll snap some pics later, if I can, it's kinda hard to get too because it's in the back corner on a piece of driftwood facing the back of the tank.

I'm not sure if my fingers are crossed, I'm not a big fan of hybridization. But, you never know, they could turn out to be awesome. Or they could turn out to be the fish that ate the east coast...........

They ate the eggs. That's not uncommon with new parents, so if they spawn again, I'll try to keep it documented.
