Mine was 2 pacus that i bought, i was a novice then and didn't know how big they'd get they grew loads but i ended up swapping them for a Red hook metynnis.

So many, in 33 years..A monstrous jaguar that didn't even reach the bottom of the tank because it was swallowed in one gulp by my RTC; a brackish moray that was in fw and stupidly I kept on delaying the conversion to brackish; some fish that jumped out ( wolf and several channas ), the list goes on...not the best equipment because of price and then .....
mine actually wasn't a purchase. unfortunaly i had to drop about two dozen feeders into my 78 degree tank from about 50 degree water and leave for a week. needless to say they died and took two warmouth and a catfish i had been raising for about six months with them.
Bought 3 of what was advertised as Red Bellies to go in my slate bottom 55(long time ago

Dumbest fish was a Stripped Rapheal... hid all the time inside a log and you couldn`t get him out. When I sold him he was short and wide and ugly as all hell.

My worst and best purchuse would be the 3 oscars I bought for my 30gal high tank, with in 2 months I had to buy a 55gal, the LFS told me they wouldn't out grow it. I should have check, how hard is it to type Oscar into google. Well I went back and gave him a piece of my mind
. So I bought a 220gal off my fav. fish store and am very happy so far but still I need a larger tank for them, 450gal should be suffient
even though they will be staying in the 220gal anyway.
My older bro bought me a freshwater puffer for my b-day, had to put it in a tank with some cons over night and would buy a 30gal in the morning, well I didn't buy a 30gal
