MOST males will continue to grow into their early 20's. The ones that don't will definitely want you to hear about it. Females seem to finish at about 16-18.
Both parents are 5' 7" and grandparents were from 5' 5" down to 4' 10". However, there are a sporadic few tall relatives from a recessive gene. Still living is an uncle, a cousin (not from that uncle), and myself at the 6' 4" -6' 5" range.
I'm 56, and was nearly 6'9". Yes, when you grow this tall and are all done at 14 there are lots of physical issues that go along with it, besides hitting your head on doorways a lot when young. Pretty much all your joints are junk. I have had both knees replaced and one ankle has been fused. The other may need it. None of this is from sports. I grew so fast I could barely walk so no sports. I grew 11" in 9 months. I have shrunk over an inch and have back and neck issues. Everyone in my family that has been over 6'6" has had a heart attack or died before 60. I wonder what my wife will do with all my aquariums in 4 years?
