Got this F1 pair of Ellioti a few weeks ago and am really warming to this species... the colors are absolutely outrageous! the female is the one with the dark blotch on the dorsal by the way ;)

Nice. I've found males to be very aggressive with the females and overall, thes3 are much more aggressive with conspecifics. If you breed, be careful when removing fry as I've experienced my male kill the female afterward. I had a pair take control of a 225 with larger paraneetroplus in with them. In my experience, they are the most aggresive of their genus.

I've found them over aggressive too for a thorichthys...
 
Yeah I tried this species before and lost all the females and ended up with one big nasty male... This pair seems quite harmonious so fingers crossed ;)
