i know it isn't easy..but i have no regrets... my oldest horse is 30 years.. her oldest son is 27 years, and we have two others..one a belgian draft he is late 20's... i know they won't be around in the near future.. we are all getting old together.. hopefully we will outlast them..... plus the parrots.. two 20 year olds.. and parakeets.. and the dogs and rabbit and chickens..fish are still here but slowly the numbers are going down.. my arowana is about 16 years old.. red devil is over that age....... .the feed store loves us........ i am actually thinking about getting another puppy in the spring.. i just love my pups.. as long as we can get by ..i am happy..
 
I know what you mean. we need them just as much as they need us. my pup really cheered me up, but I had forgotten how much of a job these young ones are ;-)

thats why i said...new pup in the spring.. going out there now would be the end of me.. between the ice and the cold in the wee of the night.. you have a new pup......??
