IDK what I want from this hobby!!!

I wish I was rich cause I'd have over 500 tanks with just about every fish I could think about. I think it's somewhat normal for people wanting to get a fish they don't have and to be 'tired' of the ones they do have.

So what is the solution to this vicious cycle? Do I just keep it going until I find the perfect stock???? Do I ignore the urge to change my stock and just deal with what I have???? I'm just not sure what to do.

I wonder how many keepers of the really rare fish soon tire of said fish after they've finally acquired it.Kind of like "the fun is in the desire to have it/and the search for it"type of thing....I went through that quite a bit in the early years when I was buying lots of books and I wanted everything I saw in them, lol!

Just get an Oscar and then stop thinking about it so much

I've been switching my stock like every 6 months for like 4 yrs. Then I decided to just get out of the hobby but after sometimes off it just wasn't the same so I got back in the hobby 2yrs ago and since then, I switched my stock 3x! I'm finally to the point where I think I'm happy with what I have. If I would've kept the original stock before, it would've save me a lot of $$$$. Sometimes you have to experience it to find out what's right for you.

Its took me twenty years on and off ( I had a break from my addiction for a while ;)) to realise there's far to many fish I really want but I can't have them all :D I try to prioritise these days , I'm in the process of shutting down my Malawi tank so I can upgrade and look after monsters

I was a fan of amphibians until I got pink eye from a giant African bullfrog. I had enough of titanic stinky poops. then my eye went stinky as well.

That is hilarious!

It took me a good 10 years to settle on a selection of fish that I can say I really love and prefer to keep. Salt just doesn't do it for me. I think it's normal to hop around in the beginning. Just be sure to learn everything you can along the way!
