Female Festae coloring up?

Bought this festae when it was 1.5" from a LFS last year. She's about 5" now, eats a ton of NLS/Hikari pellets, krill, red wigglers. Lives with 23 clown loaches, a couple of Red Head Geos, couple of large fei feng.

Is her color going to get any better, or does she need to be breeding to color up? Or is this just a lower quality festae? Thx!!!!

Male. A female would have a dorsal fin that is black until about the third stripe and also minimal spangling on the rear fins. I got two female and I'm trying to get a male lol
