I figured you might not take constructive criticism well. I suggest you read up on ohms law 0.5 ohms is 0.5 ohms... regardless of what tank it's in... Just trying to help. Congrats on staying of the cigs, enjoy....

No problem any advice is good
The k simar adjusts volts for me just like someone would adjust the voltage themselves regardless of ohms law
People like to up and down volts and watts to get the most smoke as possible
I never wanted to stop smoking of some kind be it cigs or vape

I am a young smoker so I don't think the damage has been done like some of those smokers who has been smoking for many years, I enjoy vaping but it is so easy to buy a pack when you run out of coils, I hear that they came out with a cheaper nicotine gum called zotac or something like that, but who actually carries it, these tobacco companies know how to hold onto their smokers. I don't drive as well so the vape shop is some distance from my home so its hard to get the coils. Another thing when I got sick I with chest congestion and flu I couldn't vape at all and was forced back into smoking. Some times it makes me wonder? lol

Just buy lots of coils online I would say a very high percentage of vapers never even enter a vape shop I know I haven't

What you are trying to explain is variable wattage. All VW devices do this. The board uses ohms and watts to determine voltage(hmm ohms law). And not very well mind you on 90% of the available regulated devices. Because they have boost chips for regulating up, not buck chips for regulating down. All I am telling you is 3.2 volts is low voltage cutoff for most batteries (a dead battery). So there is no board going to give you 2.65 volts (14 watts on a .5ohm coil) Your getting full battery power. You would be way better off with a 1.5 ohm coil at 12 watts giving you 4.24 volts and 2.83 amps. The K-Simar is not a sub ohm device. And if you vape is to hot, cut back the airflow on the subtank. But vape however makes you happy. I'm done...

The sub tank does actually also come with a 1.2ohn could which I will use after the 0.5 one burns out I will let you know how I get on

I would actually say get a mod and a rda. Rebuilding your coil is just a total new vaping experience. I've been vaping for around 7 years and wasted tons of money on pre-made coils when I could have gone into rda's. If your scared of not being able to make your own coils don't worry, the botched up job you do will be 100 times better than the coils you buy and it's easy to get the hang of. Flavor is amazing, way cheaper and vapor production is better, some don't care about the vapor but to me it's satisfying to see a huge cloud lol. If your gonna go sub ohm get vtc batteries and you'll be safe as some lunatics build .01 ohms. I would advise you stay around .2-1.3ohms on a mod and on vw devices .5-1.6ohms depending on how many watts you push.

So are you saying a 0.5ohm coil is totally fine at 14w and don't worry about the voltage

Surly if a battery isn't safe to allow you to fire at sub ohm the battery would come up with a fault on the display

Well forget ohms law the 0.5 coil is much better than the 1.2ohm on the sub tank

I run the 1.2 for a day but switched back to the 0.5 the flavour and vaper are better on the 0.5

I'm now running it at 9w and I like it

I know this is a bit of an old thread now, but i just wanted to ask, what are some of the more popular / well known E-Cig brands out there? since want to do some research, but want to also know what brands are most reputable... Also, just for your info, there are no vape shops in this town... so need some solid info to start off with so i can go from there...

Thanks...

The first rule is do not use the BLU, vuse ecigs or other cheap crap at stores. They are owned by RJ Reynolds and just as bad as cigarettes. Start out with a simple starter kit and a decent juice. White Label Juice Co is a very cheap juice (100ml for $20 shipped) that I vape often but only goes up to 6mg nicotine. Not great for people trying to quit since they often need a higher stength juice like 18mg-24mg. It depends on what you want to do to quit. if you are dedicated to quitting smoking a eBay clone setup goes a long way but if you are just testing the waters get a starter kit online.
