How meney of you guys keep this crenicichla? and has eneyone ever bread these or had breeding activerty? im thinking of getting a few from germany and wonted to know a little about these and how meney id need in group to try and bread"" would like maybe 3 fish as very expensive!

You should buy a small group of 5-6. A male and female will choose each other and become bonded. You will then need to remove the extra as they will become a target from the pair. As for as breedin I have never heard of them being bred.

John from ECZS had one this year it was like 5-6 inches. He only had one though

All that I have seen were about 9-11 inches. Havent seeen the in the 4-6 inch range.

I saw that but I think it was similarly priced to the bigger guys

4 pieces of 10-12" @ $500ea

Try Oliver Lucanus from "Below Water", he gets them in at 6 to 8 inches and usually has some in stock, if not just put an order in and he will call you when they arrive.
He is in Canada and has great quality fish!!!
