Greetings MFK!

Im currently in the middle of battling Hex with my flowerhorn and just wanted to know if there is anything out there that I should try or do.

I have a 3.5" RD thats currently in a 10 gal hospital tank. He started having stringy clear poop about a week and a half ago and since then I have treated the tank with Tetra Parasite Guard for 6 days doing the WC every two days as directed on the box. The poop stopped being so clear and is more of an opaque white now. Ive also tried soaking food (Pellets, Bloodworms, Brine Shrimp) with Metro sprinkled on it and giving it to him but he still wont eat. I have also tried the 3% epsolm salt mixture with both injections into his tummy as well as adding some to the water to try and relax his insides.

I dont know what else i can do, if anyone out there has some advice on what steps i can take next or on what else is available id appreciate it!

Force feed the fish with wet pellets rolled in Metro. Thats what i did with mine and it worked. Metro needs to be ingested.

I once had a 2 inch fry which I can not forcefeed. 1/2 tablet of metro in a 2 gallon container. Three days after everything was fixed :)

I would keep using Epsom salt. I use 15mg per liter. Soak the food. I usually also treat the tank for the first week or so. Read RD'S sticky in the disease forum.

Can you elaborate on the steps you took? Did you put the fry in the container?

Can anyone elaborate on how to use metronidazole? I have access to the pills at work
