A friend has a 75 gal with a 9 inch oscar and would like to add a green phantom pleco. So far the largest we can find is 4 to 5 inches which might be too small ? I suggest L75 at 6 inches and its a possibiliy but can anyone suggest other possibilities as well as the minimum size that would be safe.

Thanks

I would say a 6" pleco could be fine with a 9" oscar. A rhino pleco would be a good tank mate as well as a L001.

She was thinking l200 or l128

If the oscar can't eat it then put it in. U could get a common pleco to test how small it can be before your oscar eats it. If he is hungry he will eat a pleco he can fit in his mouth. Thats how my red tail catfish ate a raphiel catfish.
