I just bought 5 of these guys and put them in my 55 gallon grow out. Does anyone know how quickly they grow? Are they fast growers or do they grow slow like clown loaches?

IMO they are are slow growers like clowns but, these guys are way more aggressive. Watch out for disputes and make sure there's enough caves for all of them.
I had a few in my old setup with my current clowns and after a month or two took them out due to their aggression. They would literally chase anything their size and constantly do it might I add.
What were in the tank that they bullied? What did you end up putting them with that they worked with? They aren't bullying in my tank as the 7-inch black ghost knife is the boss (in its own cave) and the 7-inch clown knife is the number 2 fish in the tank. The CK will be moving out of this growout tank to the larger 300 in about a month or so. If the blue botia are aggressive, they may start to show it once the CK is gone. I don't know, though, since I have some other tough fish in the tank: small leopart ctenopoma, small datoind, rainbow shark (4 inches)
That tank had mostly clowns and a bunch of silver dollars. They ended up in a 30L with a bunch of black neon tetras.
So, you're telling me they bullied the clown loaches or did they just bully the SDs? Did they get along with the clown loaches? I have mine in with 3 CLs which I am growing out to put with my larger group of loaches in the 300g.
If you increase your number to around 5 the aggression subsides completely, I have 3 clowns, 3 yoyo's, 4 blues in a 200gal, and found as I added, the level of aggression went down considerably. Blues kept as singles or in a pair are a nightmare.
