I just got some garnet sand last night and put it in my tank. I rinsed it to the best of my ability and it was still very cloudy. Well it's starting to settle but still a bit cloudy. It's blasting sand but I had no idea it was so fine. It's almost like powder. Really disappointing actually. But it is only sticking to my lap, my other three are completely fine. Is this something I should worry about or will it come off at some point? It's mainly just on her head and stomach. I really hope I don't have to switch sand. That will get very messy lol.

Happens with almost all my polys. It comes off. No need to worry unless it starts to show signs of irritation.

Same here when I had red sand it stuck to them like crazy cause it was so fine ... I got to the point where I was just tired of seeing red bichirs so I didn't put it in my newest tank ... But it never seemed to bother them at all
Note the endli on the left side ... Also the sand would be on my rocks my drift wood my plants my filters everything there was no stopping it

Haha we will see if it starts bothering me lol. Maybe their next tank will just get a painted red bottom or something.

Good luck with that I painted mine 5 diff shades of red ... Every time I turned the light on in my tank ... It was not red it was bright pink ... Every single freakin time ... This is what red looks like under fish tank lights..... I ended up painting it black and just throwin a semi thin layer of red sand
