Have you ever called into work because of your fish?

I've called into work for lots of reasons. ...To play GTAV, I'm hungover, I just don't feel like going to work, i want to binge watch 3 seasons of a TV show... etc

But I don't recall ever calling in for a fish related reason.

I left work early because of a power outage. I also left work early once a few years ago because I was notified by my unemployed roommate that my tank was leaking.

I was almost late to work a few times over (trying) to do water changes before work.

But I've never actually called into work for a full day.

Have you?

I actually left work a few hours into my shift because my girlfriend was worried about the fish...cichlids had fry and I put a divider up, but Momma broke through it and was attacking the other fish without mercy.

called off multiple times to wait for a fish delivery in snow storms in this great state. Plan on doing it next week actually. Not one of my bosses has questioned the reason either..."live animals coming in the mail".

Yeah, we have such great weather lol :). We've gone from 6" of snow to close to a flood in a day down here at the burgh'.

Oh believe me...I could have swam home yesterday haha. Now today I could have skated to work. south of you guys are still getting slamhammered with snow haha.
 
Once, that I remember, had a 650g tank with some very large fish and a leak on a bottom joint that was getting worse by the second. If that is not an emergency worth calling in for I do not know what is.
 
I'm called in many times for most of new MMO launch day :D but never called in for fish related issues, if I ordered fish online I can possibly arrange the shipment delivery on Sat or Sunday.
 
Once during work I decided i wanted fish, so I drove to the LFS and picked them up; then took them home to acclimatise lol. No-one even said anything when I got back to my desk
